Patrick Johnson is a cinematographer. Francesco Basti is a director. We've been making things together long enough to know that what we create as a team is far more remarkable than what we could create on our own.
It's the reason we started Daydream Studio.
We work with brands and agencies who want media that connects with people, not just something that looks good on a brief. We are not salesmen, we are not account managers, we are creative problem solvers. We keep our team tight on purpose, scaling contributors when needed thanks to a network of artists and technicians we’ve built during our collective 20 years in this field.
Richmond-based and eager to travel where needed nationwide, we are building toward the kind of work that is both memorable and authentic.

Patrick Johnson is a cinematographer with over a decade of experience across commercials, television, and film production. That range, from high-volume marketing content to long-form set work, built a foundation that most production company DPs don't have. After years freelancing on productions of every scale, he co founded Daydream Studio to bring that full depth of experience to brands and agencies who take the image seriously.
